3D-Printed Angel Wings at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

3D-Printed Angel Wings at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

This isn’t the first time the fashion industry has used 3D printing, but it may be the first time an ‘angel’ has. At the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, one of the models wore 3D-printed angel wings.

Victoria’s Secret hired Shapeways to print the wings, designed by architect Bradley Rothenberg. But to add to the prestige of these wings, they only fit one person. “Victoria’s Secret Angel, Lindsay Ellingson’s form was 3D scanned so as the high-tech costume fitted perfectly to her and only her.” So for those of you who want your own Swarovski crystal-studded angel wings, you will have to get your own customized pair and pay for it yourself.
